Mediocre players and preceived stardom?
I have noticed some disturbing trends in my replay league. Players who never had an AB in the majors (Tracy Baker 1911 BOS comes to mind in my replay - 1GP 0AB) are preceived as "A star in the making" by scouts. I looked at his stats and he had been player for 6 years as the 1B for the Yankees. His BA those years were: 0.016, 0.020, 0.034, 0.006 and 0.010. His ratings are 0, but his ability doesn't exist! It shows up as null... Once I edited the player and said his BA was 0.050 for both left and right handed ability, he disappeared. I found about 6 or 7 other players like this.
This, however, is not the only problem. Since they are preceived as stars they are also paid like stars. Frank Baker was making 10.5 million a year while Babe Ruth(!) sat in the FA pool the entire year.
If this could be fixed, that would be great. Thanks!
