I'm trying to learn OOTP4 a bit better, so I've started a 12-team, 2-division custom league. I've simmed out three seasons, but it will not play playoffs, but it will list award winners until Dec 23. The winners are the same, but it repeats them to the league news continuously.
The league also doesn't playoff, just ends the season after the schedule stops. I'm not sure if the two are related. Thanks

Do you have 2 leagues or is it one league with 2 divisions. If you only have one league you wont get playoffs. Not sure why news is still going into December though. Did you edit the schedule at all yourself?

Thanks. I have 1 league with 2 divisions. Obviously, I need to set up two leagues so that I get a playoff? That makes some sense and I can live with that, but I am curious why the 2 divisions can't play off.

<<We need a few more details on the league before we can attempt to help>>
I'll try. I'm running a 96-game season with a 12-team fictional custom career league with 2-divisions on a WinME P3600 20g harddrive. The season ending news loops well into december before allowing for off-season work. I have the answer on what to tweak regarding the playoffs, which is to switch the league to 2 leagues. Hopefully this fills in the picture a bit better.

A workaround for you would be 2 6-team leagues with interleague play. You can name the leagues "divisions" and it will do exactly what you are trying to do now. |
