Problem Installing - seriously pissing me off!

Ok, I downloaded OOTP4 today and when I went to start installing it, I got this message:

"Could not initialize installation. File size expected=1389425, size returned=13338856. The parameter is incorrect."

So first I tried to talk to some friends who own the game to see if they had any suggestions, and they didnt (thanks guys). So I e-mailed the OOTP people with my problem. Then, being impatient, I decided to download it again from a different server. When that download finished and I tried to install it, I got the same message only with different numbers for the file size.

So, starting to get upset, I came here and searched the message board to see if anyone else had this problem. I found something like 4 matches, and when I read the posts, the most common solution was to clear out my internet cache and download it again. So thats exactly what I did. And, to my surprise, when I tried to install for the third time, I got the same message with different numbers again.

So now, needless to say, I'm pissed. I checked, and I meet all the system requirements, so thats no the problem. And on some of the posts I looked at, people were saying that the entire file wasnt downloaded. Is it likely this happened 3 times in a row? Are the OOTP gods just frowning on me today? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

Do you have an AOL connection? If so, it seems as though this is some part of it. Get back to me and we'll se what we can do.

You said that you downloaded it from another server, but which one. I had this same problem, and decided to download from the FTP server, and it worked perfectly. If you haven't tried that one yet, you should. It worked for me, and I hope it will work for you. Good Luck.

OOTP1, yes I use AOL as browser and all that. Hootie, I tried it from the regular server (the blue one on the site) as well as mirror #2. I'm going to try to do it from the FTP one like you suggested, and I'll get back to you with the results.
