Post Exporting from OOTP3

I am having a problem with exporting my current OOTP3 league to OOTP4. I am using a laptop which runs Windows XP. There is plenty of memory (my wife is the computer person in the family) available since we just bought the thing yesterday.

Anyhow, I tried to copy the league a CD and then import from the CD. That didn't work. There was a runtime error. Then I thought that I would copy the whole OOTP3 and license it on my new computer. It licensed okay, but it stopped shortly after that on the Windows XP system because there a exe error or something like that.

I know this isn't a lot to work with, and I can provide more info if you need it (I hope), but has anyone else had a Windows XP problem before?

Thanks again, and if you need anymore info I can try to provide it.

Good question. I'm having the same issue with my system. It's Windows XP and it has about a 1 gig harddrive and 20 gigs of memory.
HELP!!!

I had the same type of trouble at one point. But for me, I was trying to run the Direct 3D graphics without having first enabled the Direct 3D drivers. (Yes, I was as foolish as that sounds.) Once I got the drivers activated, the game ran fine on XP.

I will look at that, but I don't think I have 3D graphics on my XP system.

In case someone is wondering (and I can't imagine that you are), concepcionss is the same person as perez24. I have a tendency to forget my password when logging on with another system; hence I have several screen names covering the same doofus.

I could be mistaken but I know that if you burned the league to a CD then all of the league files are now "read only" and this is causing the problem.
