CPU at 100% for OOTP3

I'm using Windows NT to run OOTP3. When I run OOTP3 my CPU jumps to 100%. Is there any way to remedy this situation? I've read all of the posts about this problem but are there any solutions? Is there any official word from the OOTP support staff? Very frustrating because I really enjoy this game! But this problem makes it impossible to play!

Hi baseball brat, this is from the website:

"OOTP3 does not work with Windows NT, because DirectX 7+ cannot be installed."

Have you changed operating systems recently? Sorry, but since the CPU usage does not make it impossible to play and since you are using an unsupported OS I'm not sure what advice I could provide.

I think the same problem exists with XP (maybe just professional..not sure).

Actually, I'm using Windows 2000 Professional...not sure if that makes any difference. I haven't changed OS. I ran OOTP3 on my computer with no problems for a month.

Please tell me there's something I can do!
