elicense problem

I tried to purchase ootp4 through elisence earlier but got a 'unable to get or install license' error code=501. It's like its not connecting to the internet, despite my having a cable connection. I messed with all the proxy settings and verified everything but it won't let me complete the purchase because of an error. Please help. Thanks.

You may need to check the <a href="http://www.eLicense.com" target="_blank">Via-Tech web site.</a> I know that at times cable connections don't work well for this.

You don't have firewall software operating do you? Dumb question I know but hey, ya' never know

You should probably ask someone if the PC has firewall software running (if it is not your PC or if it is shared), I imagine Viatech would ask that first thing so that might save you a step anyhow. If there is firewall software running on your PC, turn it off for licensing and it should work fine. If you are installing on a work PC I'd contact the IT folks to allow you to license the game.
