Not really a bug, but I noticed that the pitch count can get VERY high. I've noticed that in the dead-ball era, alot of games which I am actually watching myself have relief pitchers coming in, at about 125-150 pitches. Alot of foul balls, too. This is not something that appears to develop in simulated play.

After a quick check, I may be wrong about the pitch count. But I think that the pitcher seems either gets tired quicker, or gets pulled quicker in games that are played.

This may sound silly, but never mind about this problem. I did a little further checking, and its not as much as a problem as I thought.

The difference isn't too significant (10-15 pitches more in a simmed game), but it is noticeable. I want to see how a full season plays out though, because I've noticed other short term trends in OOTP that turned out to be flukes. [ March 13, 2002: Message edited by: mtw ]</p>
