Post Disappearing minor leaguers

Don't know if this qualifies as a bug or tech support, but I'm finding out that the minor league limit for players changes after hitting the "Auto-Manage Minor Leagues" button on the transaction screen.

I can draft and maintain up to 50 players while manually maneuvering the roster, but once I hit the auto-manage key, the limit drops to 40 and I've got lost players.

I can find them on the roster report pages, and I can locate them when I'm on the "roster" page...as long as I click the "All" button for the roster page showing all the players on my team. If I click "A" for a-league level the players don't show either.

To bring them back I must release players rated higher than them according to the computer (I suppose my scout) when it comes to talent and experience. Obviously, I don't want to do that.

I'm using version 4.0b (updated patch), fictional league, playing on my own so everything is self-contained. I seem to remember the same thing happening with version 3.0 also.

Ideally, the roster limit wouldn't change...I use the auto-manage feature to get "recommendations" from my scout and then make desired changes. If there was a player transaction button on the players' individual page (such as "release player") that would help some (at least I wouldn't have to release current better players...though the unseen players may have brighter futures).

I can't find a way to bring them back without releasing players...which, in turn won't re-sign with you after being released. I've even tried moving players to higher levels and "saving" the game hoping it would allow me to bring up the players when I opened the game again, but that didn't help either.

Thanks for your help...this game is wonderful, I'm addicted, and I'm amazed as to how your group responds to your customers.

The 40 player thing is a known issue.
