Can't open game - help!!

I've been runnning OOTP4 since it was released without any problem, but now after inserting a downloaded online league file the game won't open! I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it but whenever I double click to open game, it accesses my hard drive for a second or two then stops responding.

I have;

Win 98
Athelon 1.4 CPU
521 MB Ram
40 GB Hard Drive

Can someone please help, I've two league deadlines to make.

Have you recently deleted any league folders? Is the online league folder of a similar format to other league folders that were working?
