Post hyper-stealing

I only played the one game, but the computer was stealing A LOT, e.g, stealing third with a B stealer with two outs when they were up by 4 runs.

What was your pitchers hold and catchers arm rating? What was the computer managers steal frequency set too?

I've noticed that when I have my terrible holding pitchers and any of my poor throwing catchers out there any computer runner with a steal rating of B, likes to run more frequently than other times.

Catcher was a D, pitcher a C. I didn't check the computer settings, but I assume they were normal. I don't think anyone should ever steal in that situation, though. I do remember a terrible Mets game when they had Vince Coleman for those awful years - Coleman, just off the DL from a hamstring injury, decided to steal third w/2 outs, got thrown out, and re-injured the hammy. That guy was some kind of genius.

You may think not... but then again apparently the computer AI doesn't agree

In reality a four run lead isn't all that big, so depending on the exact situation, I might have had the runner steal if I was managing.. but it would depend a lot on the situation.

I think that stealing third with 2 outs (and not a double steal) is almost always a no-no, but with a four run lead, no manager would ever do it. Maybe it's simulating player stupidity, a la Coleman?
