Post Free Agent Question

The league I'm in started with a created 1964 season.

Taking a look at my potential free agents, They are not all listed. Looking through the players in my active roster I found several that are signed only through 1964 along with the listed ones. Dean Chance is one of them. So I simmed the season through to see who I would lose. Dean Chance was still with my team. He was listed now however in the potential free agent list. His "signed through year" was different. Again some other players were not listed in the potential free agent list that should have been. Any idea about this? Is it something I missed, like the rookie is signed through a specific time ?

Not all players who have one year contracts are going to be free agents. Players with less than 5 years experience have one year contracts that are automatically renewed.

They will appear in the Possible free agents list when they are eligible for free agency.

You can check this also by going to the Front Office Screen and clicking on Player Salaries, those guys on one year contracts that are renewable will have Automatic listed in the years left column.

Hope this helps.

Thought it was something like that. Thanks.

They might want to think about including this information on the screen where you sign extentions.
