new player here, just got the game in fact... I'm a compulsive start and restart and try something new... and already have 5 or 6 folders with various "league names" in my OOTP4 folder... to be safe, rather than deleting them I moved them to a temp file, but then had all kinds of problems getting the game to even open. When I moved them back to the OOTP4 file, viola, the game ran fine. What can i delete, not delete and still run safely? thanks... game looks SUPER so far!!!!!!!!!!!

The game requires the "GRAPHICS" and "CREATE" folders, and it is wise to leave the "Career 2002.lg" folder in the OOTP4 directory as well. Of course also leave the actual files within the OOTP4 folder and within the "GRAPHICS", "CREATE", and "Career 2002.lg" folders
.Beyond that you can delete any other league folder EXCEPT the last league that was open in the game - the game remembers the last league opened and will open it again next time you start OOTP4. To be safe you should name your leagues something recognizable so you can tell they are yours, and also so you can easily tell they are the correct league you want to delete. Good luck & hope that makes sense. |
