Hopefully someone can help me understand what I'm doing wrong regarding Iatric's HTML utility. For some reason whenever the utility generates the Gold Glove page, it terminates about half-way through the players listed. That is, it lists the pitchers, catchers, and firstbasemen, but abruptly ends about a third of the way through the listing of secondbasemen (the other positions are not listed). I've followed the directions exactly. All the other results done by the utility are normal.
Any suggestions? (The only thing I can think of that might work is prior to generating the HTML output, I need to select "fielding" in the league leaders screen). |

Can you zip up and send me your HTML files? This is a new one and I'd like to run it from with VB to see whats going on.

I got your files, but I'm a little confused. From inside your zip file, I opened the Gold Glove report and its complete. It lists all positions properly right down through the Rightfielders (the ones that should be last). Can you double-check your zip file to make sure you didn't send me the wrong thing and try looking at the Gold Glove page both in Internet Explorer and Notepad. It looks fine to me.

According to eneubaue, it turned out to be a problem with Netscape. When he viewed the page with IE, there was no problem.
Does anybody with netscape (that uses the gold glove report) know of any reason that the report is not displaying properly in Netscape? <small>[ 05-09-2002, 01:02 PM: Message edited by: IatricSB ]</small>

An easy way to fix this would be to get rid of Netscape and use explorer. I'm sorry to all the Netscape lovers.. but Netscape has always been about 5 years behind Explorer.
Also... using netscape to view CUBL's gold glove report.. it works fine. Kurtis CUBL Commish OFBA

If you are a home user I'd suggest switching from Netscape. When I create web pages I have stopped "dumbing down" the code for Netscape browsers because there are simply too many limitations and bizarre Netscape-only page errors these days. I'd rather have a nice looking (& working) page for 98% of the users than a shell of that same page for 100% of the users. I don't think it's always been that way but at least in the last 2 years the difference bewtween the 2 browsers has been more pronounced.
