I can't start up OOTP3

Whenever I click on the OOTP3 icon I get this error.

You need to give us a few more details, the more info we have the better.

Well, like you PC system info, at exactly what point of the season you are playing does this happen? Have you gotten the game to work before?

It was working before, but it was crashing the second season after game 162. Then, my computer got screwed up, and after it was fixed I tried to start up OOTP3, but now I am unable to. The program won't even start, I just get that error message I copied and pasted above. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like your league files are shot already, what you need to do is just run the "OOTP3setup.exe" program again and install the game in a different location. It should work fine, but you'll have to start over.

I just tried running setup again, and installing into a differant directory, and when I started up OOTP3, it gave me the same error message.

Strange, try downloading the setup file again(it's free to d/l it). See if that works. Have you had any other problems with your PC or made any major changes?

just to make sure,

before you reinstalled, did you uninstall the old version? if not, you should.

you may want to try to back up your league data first, but it may be gone.

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it, but I still got the same error message, and I was unable to start the game.

Doesn't sound like a game problem, sounds like a PC problem. Have you installed new hardware, drivers, etc recently?

I downloaded the file again, uninstalled the original game, and then reinstalled. I still get the same error. I will try a few things of my own, and get back to you if I have a problem. Do you have any helpful suggestion, or do you recognize the error message I posted above?

How much RAM do you have? How much free space is left on your HD? These things can cause errors.
