40 man roster bug?

I converted a league to OOTP6 and inherited a player on the disabled list. When I go to start a new season, I cannot move him to the major league roster because he is "not on the 40 man roster." However, when I try to add him to the 40 man roster (not full -- 31/40 occupancy), I get "invalid transaction." He refuses assignment to the minors. This guy is in limbo.

Am i missing something, or is this a bug?

It's a bug. I think Steve said they're working on it already. I think the best way around it now is to go into the League Setup and temporarily disable 40 man rosters. Move the guy onto your active roster, then 40 man rosters, then enable it again.

I disabled 40 man rosters. I just signed a free agent and tried moving him from my 40 man roster to the active roster but get a message telling me I must move him to the lower right hand corner of the menu which would be releasing him.

And of course I get the message "player refuses assignment"

The fix worked after I went out of the league and then back in again.
