RHB / LHB error

No matter who is at the plate (Right handed batter, or left-handed batter), the screen always says RHB for the hitter.


And while I'm at it, instead of RHB/LHB telling me which side of the plate he's hitting from, I'd rather see the player's position he is playing.

(ex. 3B Alex Rodriguez) (NOT RHB Alex Rodriguez)

I can look two inches above to see which side of the plate he's hitting from.




I think the new features are great - but the aestetics of the gameplay has taken two HUGE steps backward. It's not as good as OOTP4 and can't even compare to OOTP5 when playing the actual games out.

I don't like the play-by-play on the left of the screen, and especially, covering the out-of-town scoreboard. I like to glance at the scoreboard while the play-by-play is in progress of routine plays. And to read the text on the left of the screen makes me feel as if I'm looking away from the "action" (read: field), whereas when the play-by-play was just under the field, I could easily see where everything was taking place. Almost like my eyes have to travel too far from one to the other with the play-by-play on the left.

Also, I REALLY do not like the watermark images on the scoreboard. I want the scoreboard to look like, well, a scoreboard.

And the fonts are not as easily readable. (Scoreboard, play-by-play)




Change is not always a good thing. I know that you want to change things enough so that it doesn't look like you just slapped a new name and a few new features on an old product. But when you've got something "right" you shouldn't fool with it. These seemingly minor details affect the game's playability, at least to me. This is a great game, but I don't think I'll play it as much as I played OOTP4 or 5 for these little details.

I'd like to see the old game format restored, or at least given as an option.

I agree with the LHB/RHB thing. I've notived VERY few people show up correctly as LHB, switch hitters I've NEVER noticed showing up as LHB even tho I have 2 regular players on my team who are switch hitters hitting mostly from the left side.

I also agree with it being more informative to show the player's position in that spot instead of how they hit.
