Strangest Bug Ever - Waivers/Trade

Ok let me give you the facts so you can understand my problem..

1) I'm the Mets looking to deal M.Cameron

2) I'm using my first season 2004 in OOTP6

3) In July I traded S.Hitchock tot he Astros for J.Guiether

4) I placed M.Cameron on the trading block

Now this is where it gets wierd and I'm confused.

I received 3 emails in Sempter, 9/15-9/17 actually.

E-mail 1 said - Devil Rays claim M.Cameron off waivers

2 - Atlant claims M.Cameron off waivers

3 - "Our deal with houston fell though, a player didn't claer waivers"

I'm lost here, why are teams claiming M.Cameron? He was never placed on waivers, I doubled check.

I decide to make sure I sitll had my prospect from the Astros deal, sicne a deal with them got revoked. It turns out everything was fine, I have my spec, and they have Hitchock. However, under their transaction news, it says they joined the fun and also put a claim in for M.Cameron.

I don't udnerstand what happened, MC was never on waivers, only trading block, I offered MC in a deal to TB early in the year got it was rejected.

Furthermore, what deal with Houston fell though? I only delt one with them? I'm guess it had to d with MC

In the end, nothing really happened, I still had MC on my team. I looked to see if he would be a dupilcate but there weren't any.

Anyone else of this sort of problem?

Any info or help would be greatly appricated

BTW, when I was in my Rule 5 draft, I couldn't sleect a player, I right clicked him a few times and he wouldn't get added. And yes, I had less than a 40 man roster, the big red words were not present under ym team logo. I did hit "skip pick" until it got to my team, maybe that ahs soemthing to do with it?

I wasn't sure if it was a bug, or if it was the only way the computer knows how to offer trades after the trading deadline.

In my league, this only happened after the trading deadline, so I suspect it has something to do with a team wanting to propose a trade, but the players needing to clear waivers first.

In my case, I had Eddie Guardado on the trading block. I was receiving offers prior to the deadline, but none were to my liking.

After July 31st, Guardado was on waivers, and getting claimed by teams. Of course he's not going to clear waivers, so I can only assume that the trade proposal that was going to be offered to me is what became invalid, since the player didn't clear waivers.

The workaround is to remove the player from the trading block after 7/31, but it is pretty confusing / disconcerning to the player.

Personally, I havne't played since OOTP4, so at first I thought my assistant GM was working some sketchy deals without telling me or something!

This is happening to me also, and yes i am using the patch. As far as i can tell it is only after trade deadline and has always been rejected because of a player not clearing waivers. It's always guy on the trade block. I'm just worried about what would happen if a guy actually cleared waivers. Who know what you'd get in the deal!
