Pitchers with less than five innings

The pitcher didn't get the record, but he pitched less than five innings. my second reliever gave up the lead. The first reliever was credited with a hold. Which I think, the starter must have been in line for the win.

Any chance you could post a screenshot of the pitching portion of the box score...maybe the scoreboard as well.

Very odd. I'll have to check on the hold rules, but I think that may be a bug. I haven't noticed this yet, but I haven't really looked either.

The rule is...... I believe

It is whoever finished the fifth inning with the league, is the pitcher of record.......

I lost two pitchers on consecutive batters......... One for five weeks......... the other for his career........I am 5 games into the season..... that bites..... not a knock on the game...... just funny how some things happen

I think it may be correct. If the game was not tied, the 2nd pitcher would have gotten the "W" instead of the starter (its a judgment call in the MLB, but I think its just the next pitcher in OOTP) and the remaining pitchers would have gotten holds and the save.

Its odd, but I think since he served his job in holding the lead, he gets the hold. I'm not sure what the rule would be on this particular situation though.
