Losing lots of stats!

I have found that sometimes when the game crashes (and one time where I had to manually shut down with Task Manager) the game seems to lose quite a lot of stats.

The easiest way to see this is if after your game crashes and you restart, look at the league leaders.

Often you'll see the AVG and OPS leaders have no one listed. That's likely because the program calculates the minimum plate appearances from the number of games the teams have played (the team records seem to not get affected), but because of the lost stats, none of the players in the league have enough plate appearances to qualify.

It just happened again. The game crashed, giving a general Windows error. When I reloaded the league, all the AVG, OPS and ERA leaders were gone.

It seems that it's losing all the stats when it crashes. I'm not sure how often the league saves them. I imagine it's either at the end of each simmed week, or each time the league saves (usually when you press spacebar to stop simming).

This happens to me also with a particular league. I have been unable to determine why it happens with that league. But on the same date/same game each year the league will crash whilst simming and the game will lose stats just as you have described above.

My crashes aren't on a particular date or year. Mine are with a career league, and they seem to occur randomly.

But what "type" of "career" league is it?

-historical
-fictional
-real players
-default

This can make a huge difference.

Steve, my league is a fictional league starting from 2004, it worked fine for the first 5 seasons that I simmed through (this is a test league that I'm using to test league totals etc.) but after I installed the patch I turned on the hometown advantage and ever since then it crahes on the 22nd of July in the fourth game without fail, scrubbing the stats as described by BMW.

What is team ownership set to on the teams? Sounds like you need to stop on that day and examine rosters, rotations, depth charts, etc for any of the following:

-The same position is listed twice in the lineup.
-The same player is listed twice in the lineup.
-One position is missing.
-An "injured" pitcher is scheduled to start a game

My league was a career league using 'real' players. I started the league on OOTP5, where I simmed 2003-2008. I converted it over to OOTP6 where I have been simming 2009-2016.

I don't recall having any crashes or problems with OOTP5.

All the ownership is set to CPU with the exception of my team.

My crashes don't seem to crash at any particular time. I've had seasons where I have had no crashes.

I've had this issue too. In one league it crashed when a certain team played. It did ths for about a week of season time. If I reopened OOTP after the crash, sometimes it would sim correctly. All of a sudden it stopped doing it after just about a week. I looked at the team it always crashed on, but didn't see anything wrong with how they were set up.

My newest problem happens during the "Finishing Day..." part of the sim. I have no idea why its crashing but its crashed for 5 consecutive games now. The strange thing about this crash is that one of my leagues doesn't lose any statistics with regards to the batting average leaderboard, while the other one loses every one on the BA and OPS leader board except one player, and its the same player every time. I checked out all lineups and pitching rotations and they all appear fine.

Steve in my fictional league it's a two league setup with 12 teams total. All teams are "owned" by the CPU. I have stopped on that day and checked the rosters and run coper manager on all teams before simming as well as checking the teams themselves and all seems fine.

Same thing just happened to me today. Running a fictional league where I manage one team. Have played almost 20 seasons with no problems. Then today it started not reporting Batting Avg and OPS leaders on the leader boards.
