window 2000 problems

as stated in another thread i am having the same problems with the game crashing on my windows 2000...maybe its something with windows 2000 that makes the game crash??

I am running Windows 2000 as well, and am having problems with the game crashing. I'm not sure what's causing it.

i've been hearing quite a few complaints about windows 2000 crashing....and i hope that we can get some help with this cause i cant play =(

http://www.microsoft.com it is a windows update. Really don't know but it is best to have programs up to date.

SO what was the solution? I'm having crash prob on my laptop with Win2000...done everything I can think of but it keeps crashing either when I check through pages of history and team pages or in games usually by the 3rd innning?!?!

I have the same 3rd inning crash every game, but in Win 98. My league is an OOTP5 to OOTP6 import running on a 700 MHz machine, 300 MB-plus RAM, 50 GB free on my hard drive, and Direct X 9.0, plus I've updated Windows, drivers, etc. I turned off the sound and Direct 3D my last attempt and made it to the 5th inning before crashing.

I still can't get the game to run on WIN 2000 either. Sounds like this may be more widespread than I initally thought.

Sorry guys, but making a blanket statement such as "The game doesn't run on Windows 2000, fix the game" is just wrong. Like a few of us have posted, it works just fine on Windows 2k, so perhaps you have other issues somewhere else on your PC you need worked out.

Without posting errors or info I don't see how Markus can get much information on trying to fix it anyways...

stashu,if u read all of our posts u wouldnt make such a blank statement yourself.....and its kinda ironic that mostly ppl wit windows 2k only have this problem,please if u dont have a problem dont post on this thread cause its annoying to hear how great a time ur having with the game...thank you

Please try making all recommended Windows 2000 updates and see if this solves the OOTP6 problems.
