DH in the field?

When I right click on the DH in the sub screen, it says I'm not allowed to switch him with someone else in the lineup and put him in the field. Don't the rules allow anybody in the lineup to change defensive positions(or move to DH) during the game?

If you move your DH into the field, your pitcher has to bat in place of the fielder the former is replacing. Basically, you lose the DH. Dunno how OOTP handles this move.

OOTP won't allow this situation. Even though MLB rules allow you to move the DH to the field (thus losing the benefit of the DH for the rest of the game, forcing the pitcher to bat in that spot), OOTP prohibits such a move.
