Adjusting Stats for Era
I think I read somewhere that it was suggested not clicking on the "adjust stats for historical accuracy" (I'm pretty sure that's what it is called) button. Anyway, I thought I'd give it a shot and see how things came out, but it zero'ed everything but AB's. I tried this with every era and the result was the same. Did I muck something up or did this get changed with the patch?

The same thing happened to me, before I ran the initial draft. After the draft, the "Adjust stats for historical accuracy" button worked fine.

Glad to hear I was just a moron!
That also explains why none of the players had star ratings at the time either! I was starting a league in 1979, but added 12 historical teams into the mix and had to go through and weed out any duplicates. I ended up using the other recalculate button, and was pretty amazed at how well the stats still worked out. I've read in some of the other threads that triples have been a problem but mine were right on. The only stat that I could see that was off by much was the ERA in my NL style league was high by almost a full run. It was also interesting that J.R. Richard led my league in K's by a large margin and posted numbers very similar to real life. He threw 292 and the 2nd place guy only threw 163. Babe Ruth lit up my league to the tune of 62 HR's and the number 2 guy only had 44. Isn't OOTP just a wonderful thing? Joe |
