Never ending season

Ok so "something" happens when I try to finish my season. After the word series and I make my last adjustments - I hit the Proceed to Next Season button.

Problem is it doesn't reset. It went right to the Rule 5 draft and skipped everything else.

Then I simmed up to April 1 to see if it would restart anew - but the stats from the previous year carried over - so my "Ace" is 23-7" on opening day.

Is there any way to fix this? I would hate to lose this career. This has already happened to another career I had going - and this is the second one I was forced to start fresh - I dont want to do it again.

FYI this is with OOTP ver6.1

What exactly did you do after the WS, I have played many, many seasons and had zero problems.

After the world series basically I sign my last free agents and things like adjust the 40 man roster.

Then I hit the Proceed button and it starts to do all the processing.

I do know the last time that my screen saver came on and it seemed to have messed up the program as it timed out. So I figured that might be a culprit.

But I dont really see how that would force the season to skip ahead past the Ammy Draft - Free Agent Pool and Coaches Scouts - seemed wierd.

It basically doesn't recognize that the last season ever ended - and it does not zero out the yearly stats - but yet it zip's the schedule ahead past a lot of the critical dates that it shouldn't pass without me telling it.

Turn the screensaver off while playing. Sounds like the league is not any good anymore.
