Email Problem

Whenever I get the little box that says I have an email, I get a bunch of jibberish all the way across the screen. If I select to stop the sim the game crashes and if I elect not to stop the sim the game doesn't crash, but I don't have any emails. I haven't gotten an email yet, although I have had 10 or so notices.

The jibberish across the screen looks like it might be referring to the type font, but I really don't know.

Anybody have this problem or know how to fix it?

I had the same problem a few times, but it hasn't reoccured in a while.
The only "fix" I know of is just what you did..... not stop the sim when it happens.

Whether I stop the sim or not, I am not receiving any emails. Granted most of them are not that important anyway, but I would like to know what is happening with my team, i.e. I don't want to forget when somebody is ready to be activated from the DL.

If you aren't getting any emails at all, make sure that "Notice of emails...." is set to Yes in the Sim Options (accessed via the Simulate menu on Schedule screen). If that's set then you should be getting notification of real emails......

What I meant was that I get notification (with the gibberish across the screen) but, I never actually had any emails to read. I think I fixed the problem though.......sound related. Turned the sound off and it appears to have cleared up the problem.
