Problem with star ratings

This is in a newly created custom league.

I had created a veteran player through the FA screen when I noticed that his star rating would stick at five almost no matter what his talent ratings were set at ( I'm talking 0-20 ). I went to the Anaheim roster, viewed a few players with the player editor turned on, and left the Angels' transaction screen. Afterwards, the players I viewed all had five star ratings, but none of their 'real' talent ratings were changed.

I proceeded to exit OOTP, open it back up, and load my league once more. Almost all non prospects had five star ratings while prospects were still untouched. I flipped the "show star ratings" option on and off but nothing changed. Any new player I create also has the same bug. Has this happened to anyone else?

In the same custom league, if you view a retired player through the almanac ( Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth ), they will replace a player on an active roster. This didn't happen before I had to restore my league. I'm also still getting the star rating problem. Any help would be very appreciated.

Can you tell me exactly how you get the "retired" player to appear on a roster.

Alright, if you view a retired player's card through AngelinOF's almanac, he replaces a player on an active roster ( Anaheim in this case ). The player that has been replaced is now no longer anywhere to be found in the league.

Sorry for the delayed response.

So this is happening w/ a user created add-on and not just through usual game generated events?

Ok, just checking since I have not heard of this issue in quite awhile. I don't have any answers right now but with the use of 3rd party add-ons you always run the risk of having problems come up. Here is the forum description for the "mods forum"

OOTP Mods
The place to find and talk about add-ons and modifications to OOTP. Out of the Park Developments does not endorse or support any 3rd party add-ons, use at your own risk.
