v6 Crashes incessently - requesting help

I am having major crash issues with v6. Generally these crashes happen when accessing any lineups or rotations and appear to be video related as I dont get a a blue screen but do get video and/or VPU errors from my video card (including scrambled graphics, random characters etc). These do lock the system up cold most of the time (although occassionally a ctrl alt del will let me end the program).

I am aware of the lineup bug/crash but this seems different. I have used multiple roster sets, made several leagues, have also used everything default and updated my video drivers... all with no luck.

I am tech savvy, but this has me at my wits end. I have invested about 80 hours and have yet to complete a season due to crashes.

My system is as follows:

P4 3.4GHZ
1GB RAM
Dual 120GB drives
ATI 9500 Pro
Direct X9
XP OS

Thank you

Whoa, your system sounds very similar to mine and I've not had any crashes and have played and or simmed a number of games and seasons w/ v6. I would guess that you've tried scandisk, defrag, virus scans and spyware/adware removal? Also try uninstalling and reinstalling if you have not.

I forgot to add that generally I get VPU errors from my ATI card when crashing. I have run defrag, scandisk and reinstalled several times...I have no other issues with any software or games.

Is this a known issue being addressed?

Really not sure, there are a number of issues being worked on but do not know the status of each one. We are trying to handle as many as we can as quickly as possible.

Just a question, have you tried adjusting some of your video settings? I just bought an ATI 9000(just as a backup and using it now w/o a problem).

I found a workaround...I learned from a reply deep into this forum that is a problem with ATI cards and enabling 3D acceleration. This makes for some slow menus but at least allows one to play.

I hope this is being addressed, but going into game configuration and disabling 3D works...albeit a bit slow.

Re: this issue

Hi there, just wanted to give this thread a little bump because I have had the same issue with vers 6 (just downloaded it a few days ago) locking up when you go to check lineups and rotations.

System is a P4 2.4 Ghz 1.5 MB Ram, but it does use an ATI card, so I'm going to assume that is the problem. Patch 6.01 didn't fix the issue, but turning off the Direct 3D seems to have, although it does slow down the menus to 386-like speed.

Anyway, I know there are a lot of nits for you guys to take care of, but this is a very annoying crashing problem that it would be nice if you could address at some point in a future patch. Thx.
