Win2000 and Ctrl+Alt+Del = Graphics Freeze

Win2000 Server (all latest SP and fixes)
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200
OOTP6 (latest as of this writing)

When I press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up task manager anytime during the game, the graphics fail to update on the window and appear to freeze with a white background. I can still click in the upper right hand corner where I know the "+" button is to close it out, so the game is not frozen, just the graphics. Sometimes I must hit the space bar if the sim is going, press enter to confirm then close out the game.

This also happens rarely when I do not press Ctrl+Alt+Del. I cannot remember the circumstances that caused it.

Thank you,
Chris

Well, not sure if a "fix" is forth-coming but I'd recommend just not doing that while the game is open.

Sorry to inform you guys, it happened to me several times too. And I didn't press Ctrl-Alt-Del, in that case.

All I did was minimize the game(hey, it was a legitimate action...you guys made the minimize button), replied some MSN messages, got back to the game and saw complete blackout...(clicking on the buttons still makes sounds and I was able to "guess" the correct buttons and exited the game)

Might it be graphics card problem...?

My system is also Windows 2000, by the way. Using 512MB DDR RAM and nVidia GForce FX5200 card...hope that helps.

This can be a problem but it is a case by case issue, I can minimize the game over night then open it back up and it works fine and I have no problems. But as it sounds others cannot do this. My only sugestion would be to make sure that your video card drivers are updated.
