255+1=0
I'm playing a hyper-offensive game where players routinely score/drive in 300 runs a season. I know about the "rollover" thing at 255 runs, but it's kinda frustrating. Why does it happen? Why only runs scored? Is there a way to fix/patch it?

It happens due to the limitations of the database in regards to stats. In order to allow the game to store the info passed 255, the database structure would have to be totally recoded (or something to that effect) causing problems with converting leagues to the new system. I would imagine that this will happen at some point, maybe even with OOTP7 now that Markus has teamed up with the SI boys.

I think I've seen it stated that there is a boatload of code that needs to be reworked to raise the limit. And not like a rowboat, I'm talking the Titanic
![]() But Markus has 2 years to change around his code before V7 ... that is, if he can survive that British food!
