initializing sound

When I run the game with sounds disabled the game runs fine, but when I try to enable sound from game setup the game freezes and when I try to enable sound from game screen, the game crashes. What can I do? I purchased a complete functioning game, at least I thought I did.

You may need to "disable" in-game sounds in "game setup". As you may or may not know adding sound to ANY program brings up the possibility for many more conflicts with other programs, drivers, etc on a PC.

You may try updating your sound card drivers, but not sure it will help.
