A positive comment
Given all the bad feelings and gripes happening lately, I wanted to follow up on some crash threads that I posted here a while back.
Since reinstalling the game a few weeks ago, I have had no problems with the software crashing, or any other such issue. The staff's prompt responses to my problems (both on these boards and in e-mail) was appreciated, and although answers weren't available for some of the issues (as the problem was likely with Windows or my computer), it was nice to see such a quick response. I've only played OOTP casually since v5 and am not in any online leagues. I think OOTP6 needs work, but haven't seriously noted any real challenges that "make it unplayable" as some claim. I've not chimed in to the discussions much, as I see no benefit to do so (it only creates more noise). Knowing that OOTPD is aware of the issues on the board, I'll state that I've noticed only three so far: 1. The DH replacement problem (can't substitute a PR for a DH, can only substitute a PH for a DH before the DH is up to bat). 2. Significant waiver and FA activity by the AI that may be out of whack with real life. 3. Noticeably slower sim speeds after the release of 6.02a. You already know these, I'm sure, so I'll wait patiently for 6.03. If I discover other things, I'll chime in again. Thanks!

It a shame only a few people seem to be interested in such a fine post...it is a model we all could use. My compliments to CPAScott. |
