Question I don't get it

In my online league I have 2 Possible Free Agents. Joe Mays and JD Drew. We'll in the possible Free Agent HTML Report it has Mays, Drew, along with 2 other guys who are supposed to be arbitration eligible. Can anybody explain? I appreciate it.

These players aren't minor league players though. The other 2 Free Agents to be is my ACE SP and my 2b that hits 40 homers a year. Check these sites out. Look at SP Ben Fritz and 2b Drew Henson.

Now check this one out. I'm St. Louis. It has Henson and Fritz as possible Fre Agents.

Which one is correct? I definently don't want to lose those 2 players.

I think you need to file a bug report on that one.

The league-wide possible free agents list looks for, among other things, players with greater than 5 years but not yet 6 of experience in the majors because it is possible that by the end of the season they could have 6 full years and be able to become a free agent. It apparently does not do the calculation to figure out whether the player would actually be able to reach that 6 years point by the end of the season. Does the team report figure that out or does it just assume arbitration for all players with less than 6 years experience at the time the report is created?

It seems that this may be working as planned. It seems a bit clunky, and maybe it is bugged, and there appears room for improvement, but I think just some documentation would make it clearer. The best way to figure out if a guy will be a FA is to look at his service time and calculate ahead to the end of the season to see for sure. If he has 5 years and 2 days with 4 days left to go in the season he obviously won't be, while if he has 5 years and 170 days on the first day of the season he exceedingly likely will be.

EDIT: Now that this has been moved, I'd be interested in hearing opinions on my explanation since I don't think it is a bug rather just difficult to interpret. Plus, I thought I came to my conclusion from reading someone else explain it that way.

In going to your player pages right now I see it is June 14 in the league, meaning I figure you have something of order 110 days left in the season.

Henson has 5 years 121 days of service time. Thus with just over 50 more days he will pass 5 years 172 days which equals 6 years. Free agency appears a certainty.

Fritz has 5 years 65 days. It might be very close, but I would guess that if he remains on the roster the rest of the season he would get that other 107 days needed to get that full 6th year and become a free agent.

Note: I was assuming 172 days for the "full year". Also, I have not paid close enough attention, so I do not know for sure what days add to a player's service time. Could someone else clarify this? Is it days during the regular season? Is it based on the calendar only?
