Crash problem

Running XP. In the last few days I have had a crash problem all of a sudden. Game ran fine, am in my second season using cbl rosters. Crashes in trade screen and sometimes when i look at player ratings. I am running 6.02A, in stopped when i reinstalled the patch, then restarted about a month later into the sim.

If it happened all of a sudden, after a season plus of no problems, here's what to look for...

1. If it happens to only one league, then it's likely a problem with the league file.

2. If it happens with all leagues, (a) a file in the game may have gotten corrupted (reinstall) or (b) you installed some other software that overwrote/updated a Windows file that is used by the program.

If this is effecting more than one league, go to the MS update site and download all the updates including any IE ones it suggests.

Well, I updated my IE (though I thought it was already the latest version), to no avail. It worked for a bit, then the crash bug started again. Guess I'll have to wait for a new patch.

How many others here are running XP successfully ? As fas as I know, the crash issues are only with 98 and ME.

I had 1 crash using XP, and it turned out being a schedule problem

Any other ideas? It only happens when i go to a player card report. And what that changed going for 6.01 to 6.02 that could have caused the problem?

I've been running 6.02a with no crashes on Windows XP so I highly doubt it's an OS problem. I'd try opening another league and see if you get the same problem. The schedule, as was said above, is another potential problem to check out.

I also just started to experience a crash when viewing the opposing pitcher's player card in the schedule screen prior to playing a game. Each time that I do this, I get an immediate crash. I am in my third season with the current league.

Running ME.
