Free Agents re-bid on year after year.

I'm sure this has been discussed many times, and it's been around for quite a while, but I couldn't locate anything in my searches. How do I avoid it in an online league? Teams that don't bid in free agency automatically bid on players that they've bid on seasons before. In the latest case I encountered, a non bidding team somehow put in an exact bid for a player they bid on 3 seasons ago. This happens with teams that put in bids as well, if a player they bid on a couple of seasons ago shows up in free agency again they'll get the same offer they received back then.

Do I have all the teams delete their expimp folders prior to each season to solve this?

I thought about that, but then realized two teams that this happened to both are new owners so don't have old expimp folders.

Do I delete my expimp folder as Commissioner?

I thought I did.....but I could've been in an aley beveraged stupor and not done it.

Is there a file I'm supposed to delete prior to running free agency that "resets" all previous seasons bids?

Any help is greatly appreciated to help me avoid this in the league's following seasons.

Make sure you clear out your expimp folder before the bidding starts, also check if you have some that are ftp'ed to a site and get rid of those as well.

Thanks very much Steve. I'm sure I did not delete the ftp'd ones, and never have. I'll give that a shot when next season comes around.

I've mentioned this to Markus before and he has assured me the teams are not making bids "on their own".

Nope, in a solo league you should never have to export or import any bids.
