OOTP5 Laptop Problem

Just installed OOTP5 on my laptop and am having a few graphics problems. The screen resolution is set correctly, but the drop down menus are just about impossible to read. Also, the play-by-play and live scoreboards get jumbled up. It's also tough to read rosters and other info since the fonts are so light. I don't have any problems with my desktop, so can anyone help?

Go into your OOTP6 folder, open up the Game Configuration.exe, and disable Direct 3D.
