Can Someone HELP?

I'm interested in buying ootp6. This will be my first time buying any of these series. I'm new to all these download baseball games and am not to savvy when it comes down to loading patches and other things. So here is my question. I'm interested in playing the game off line with major league baseball players. It seems like you need ootp5 to import anything. Are there any 2004 roster patches somewhere out there and when I do find one is there a read me file that will run me through how to import it with out ootp5. Thanks for the help. I'll get it together one day. Or one more question. Will I have to download the patches now even though the game has been out for some time, or will it be included now. Thanks again

To answer your questions as best I can, you do not need OOTP5 to play real rosters. Roster sets can be downloaded for OOTP6, such as Halofan's or CBL's - you do not need to use OOTP5 roster sets. These are available in the MODS forum. The current version of the game will have the newest patch available.
