Having a problem, game keeps freezing

I looked around a little bit and didnt see anything regarding this. I started a league with Detroit with CBLs roster set and made some trades and did whatever with the settings, then I start simming games and stopped last night on 4/3/04(yea I know, I only did a few days). So today when Im try to continue simming starting from 4/4/04, the game will freeze on me. I ctrl+alt+del and it says not responding. I thought my computer may have been overloaded so I went through and unstalled big progams and deleted large files off my computer that I didnt need. In total I must have freed a good 5-6 GB. Then I restarted and I keep getting the same problem. Im not sure what my computer specs are, but I know for sure they are good enough to handle this game. Can anyone tell me whats going on?

Does it do it with other leagues as well?

This post can be deleted now, I download 6.03 and I dont know if thats what did it or my computer decided to cooperate, but I got past 4/4/04.
