Pitching rotation FUBAR?
As I usually sim the games and stop to make changes only when something drastic happens (injury or record swing), I found this one a bit late in the season, so I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but it's rather weird, and I'm not sure why it's doing it.
I'm going to assume it started around the trade deadline, as it was the last time I messed with my rotation (aquiring two new pitchers for the rotation). In fact, the first time a non-starter started a game for me was 7/31, which would have been the trade deadline. Then all hell broke loose. Since 7/31, the 1-4 pitchers in my starting rotation have pitched 0 games. The #5 pitcher in my starting rotation has made seven starts in a little over a month, twice starting on back-to-back days (8/14-8/15 and 9/4-9/5). My "6th" starter (who is only in a relief role with the team and not a spot starter) has started 3 times and come in relief twice. I have received 21 starts from pitchers who have no business starting a game on this team, especially with rested starters. 11 of those starts are from a 4 (on a 10 scale) endurance pitcher who started back to back on 7/31-8/1 (when this began), then started games (after 6 relief appearances) on 8/12, 8/17, 8/18, 8/19, 8/24, 8/25, 8/31, 9/1, and 9/6. Has anyone had this happen to them? My #1 rotation pitcher was day-to-day with an injury, however the 2-3-4 pitchers were fine and rested (especially after a month off). Off to try playing out a game to see if that shakes it off.

It's ok guys, I've got it taken care of!
Apparently, the AI doesn't want to start a pitcher who is day-to-day at 70%. So it would take a random pitcher not in the rotation and start him in that pitcher's place. However, even after the start, the rotation would go to the highest ranked starter (him), and go through the same cycle again. Something to keep an eye on in your own personal experiences with the game. Not sure when the AI decides that a pitcher who is day-to-day can't start. Would be nice if after the skipped start, the rotation would then go down to #2. Maybe I just have to pitch with a strict rotation.
