Can't proceed to next season

Well, OOTP6 has been crash free for me up until today. I finished my 2012 season and clicked "Proceed to next season". The league saved, reports were generated, the "Proceeding to next year" window came up, and then . . . nothing. The window stayed open and nothing happened for 15 minutes. I had to Ctrl/Alt/Del to shut the program down. I'm running v6.03, although the season started in v6.01. I have a P4-M 2.40 GHz with 512 MB RAM and about 35 GB free on a 60 GB HD. Nothing else was running while I tried to advance the season, and I've never had any problems with running v6 before. Any ideas what could have gone wrong?

No, de-fragged recently and my anti-virus scanned just last night.

What OS, how long at the point of the problem since you had rebooted?

Did you change any league settings or PC settings between the last "proceed"?

OS: Windows XP
Rebooted this morning (problem occurred in afternoon)
Only major change in settings was turning ratings off one month into season.

EDIT: Almost forgot -- I added logos halfway through the season. It's definitely a problem with my league, as I created a test league and was able to advance it through seasons without a problem.

Hmm...I doubt that either of those would cause this problem. Sounds like just a freak occurance. Did you have a backup? And if so, have you tried the backup to see if it always hangs when Proceeding?

No backup (bad mlyons! bad!). I foolishly thought, "gee, I've never had any problems before, so of course I'll never have them in the future." I need a shame smiley. I'm probably just going to have to start a new league (which might not be the worst thing in the world, since my team was getting a little too dominant).
