overwritten .dat files

i was a little

last night so im not sure if i even did anything wrong but, i think i made a boo boo. i accidentally overwrote (is that a word?) the original .dat files in my OOTP root directory with an online leagues .dats. so maybe a few questions can be answered by you intelligent (hopefully sober) gentlemen (and ladies, if your out there).

first of all, are there dat files in the root directory? if not, then forget everything ive said and read no further. just tell me to delete them all.

if there are supposed to be dat files in the root directory, do i need to do anything special before i reinstall? do i even need to reinstall or can i just delete the overwritten ones and copy from the "create" folder? is there any other pertinent info i should know?

I believe all .dat files are within other folders (for example the ‘Data’ folder) and within individual league folders themselves. As far as I can remember, there are no pertinent .dat files in the root game folder.

I'll second satchel's reply. There aren't any DATs in my OOTP6 root folder.

Delete 'em. The only things that reside in the root directory are the .exe files and some config files.
