Game Won't Work
I have been trying to run OOTP5 and OOTP6 on my new cpu, loaded from the CD I purchased when I got OOTP6. When I try to run them, I get the following message:
Application Error: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on ok to terminate the application I emailed Tech Support, and got a zip file named "eLicPatch.zip", and was told to run it. I did, and am encountering the same exact problem with the same message of Application Error. My system specs are as follows: AMD 64 3200 1Gig Corsair Ram 2 WD Raptor (10,000RPM) HD's, Set in Raid-O array. 1 120 GB 7200 storage. Windows XP Pro Direct X 9c Asus X800 Pro 256 Video. Thanks in advance. |

Except for the RAID and the AMD chip, that's similar to my current configuration, which is:
P4 3.4GHz Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Ultra-64 Motherboard 1GB Kingston HyperX PC3200 RAM 250GB Maxtor SATA Hard Drive ASUS X800 Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS XP Pro SP2 and my game works just fine.

One other possible issue is that it could be security software, I've seen several cases where this type of software that folks have gotten through their ISP is causing the game not to run for some reason.
