Black Window on OOTP Startup

I haven't played OOTP for a long time, but I recently got it out from my old hard drive, re-licensed it (new computer), installed the 6.12 patch, and opened it up, but all that came up was a black window about the size of OOTP. I can move it around on the screen but I can't do much else. When I pressed escape, this error popped up:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: ...gram Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP 6\OOTP6.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Whne I pressed OK, the window closed.

I tried to uninstall OOTP, but the uninstaller hung at 99% or 100% and I had to press cancel. I reinstalled OOTP6 and also the patch, but the same thing is still happening.

Anyone have any ideas?

Reinstall it to a new location.

Thanks, that probably would have worked... I digged around on this forum and I eventually fixed the problem by changing the name of the default startup league in one of the .dat files.

It was career 2004.lg (which existed), so I didn't have much hope when I changed it to FLB.lg (which also existed), but somehow it worked.
