Error message after Game played

Everytime I play a regular season game at the very end after game is over I get error message and game closes down. When I restart it the game schedule box shows the game played but it is not recorded in the standings and when I check the box scores I have a different team showing having played a game against my team. I have loaded the latest patch. I have disabled everything I believe would cause an exception. I haven't yet played a game in safe mode. Should I do this and has anyone else experienced this?

Turn in game sound OFF.

It worked. Can I play game and cut off sound in the last inning? Would that work?

Honestly don"t know, NEVER use the sound(can't stand them

Can't point to the thread but someone posted at one time that this will not work.
