15-day/40-man Bug?

im seeing guys who are placed on the 15-day DL being removed from the 40-man, using 6.12.

when doing a search, i found a link about this problem from Oct. '04, but it doesnt specify what version of the game was being used. Has anyone seen 15-day DL trips result in removal from 40 man roster?

ive never seen this before.

can anyone confirm it is happening?

if so, can an official please relay the problem forward? its kind of a big one.

That's a really weird thing I know I have not had occur. Is it just your team and not CPU teams having this happen?

I haven't seen this happen. Do they get put on the DA list when they get removed or do they just get removed?

only noticed on my team (actually 2 diff online teams) because i follow them so religiously

guess i should just do a quick test and check it out with a solo league

FYI - both leagues upgraded to 6.12 mid season, so that might play into it

I've never NOT seen this happen. With all versions, any time a guy goes on the DL, he seems to get bumped from the 40-man roster. at least, in all the online leagues I'm in, anyway.

I just kind of figured "it is what it is"...the whole implementation of the 40-man roster thing has seemed a bit off from the beginning.

Seems like it may be an online league thing for some reason.

just took a peek at one online league (RWBL) - almost none of the guys on the 15-day DL were on a 40 man roster. At some point when they go on the DL, they disappear from the 40 man - I wonder if this is related to the earlier bug where the 15- and 60- day DLs were switched (perhaps there's still code on the 15-day DL to remove a guy from the 40).

again, this has ALWAYS been the case for me - I just got in the habit of putting a guy back on the 40 man roster before activating him.

also, I agree that it's probably an online thing - in my solo league I have 40-man turned off, but I just did a quick test and it worked the correct way

It's only an online league problem and it's been happening since the 15/60 day DL flag was reversed in 6.10. At least, I don't remember it happening before then.
