Trying to go to 3rd season - game crashes

I'm trying to advance to the third season, but the game crashes whilst generating amatuers... any suggestions before I break the news to my league?

Sounds like you need to check the number of ammy rounds in game setup, a rare bug resets this to a VERY large number when you install a patch.
