So, I am getting back into OOTP after a couple of years off. I found the free version and just getting used to the newer interfaces. Last time I played was in OOTP 6.5. Long time ago.

Anyway, I am curious to know what people think of my leauge idea.

I am simulating 1900-2009 of a fictional baseball league, with adjusted status given real life eras. I have 32 complete fictional teams, full minors, college, and high school. The major league has 2 sub leagues, 4 divisions in each league, 4 teams in each division. Only division winners can advance to the post season. Also, there is no DH in either league, and there is no interleague play. I am going to take over a team that is in real trouble after the 2008 season and start from the off season.

What do you think of this?

I'm playing a league with 1907 setup. There appear to be a few errors, but there's one that I want to be able to adjust organically, that is, not adjusting the actual numbers that the game follows for statistical output. I would like to see more triples closer to the deadball era, for instance multiple players with more than 20. If I move all of the dimensions of all of the ballparks back by say, 100 ft will that create more triples or is it just a cosmetic thing with no actual effect?

Hi Folks,

Just over from PureSim which I enjoy, but wanted to see what OOTP has to offer after "hearing" mention of it on Padres Fan site.
Got a goofy question:
On the bottom half of the opening/choices screen of OOTP 8, there's a splash screen/advertisement for OOTP 10. It obscures the lower half of the opening screen, everything below the "Quick Start Game" button.
How do I get rid of the bloody thing ? I don't object to advertising, but think that giving away OOTP 8 is, by itself, very good advertising for OOTP 10. If is a way to "x" out of the screen after startup, I wish it was more obvious.
Thanks for your patience,
