NRHL Quickstart
So as some may know (most probably don't on here), I have had a fictional league I've wanted to create for a long time called the NRHL, or National Roller Hockey League. I made versions of it on the first game and 2nd game as well, but those started with the 2011-12 season because of where I left off before. This time I started from the beginning going back to 2003.
For those curious there will be background on what I'm talking about, as the league itself has a long history. But the short version for those who want to jump straight to the point is I have two versions created for the new NRHL: one is prior to the initial draft, with the 24 teams all empty and waiting for you (plus minors and a 20-team junior league), all with custom uniforms and logos (mostly borrowed from the forum over the past year or two, some uniforms I made myself), while the other is the one I spent a lot of work on editing players to match those who were in the original league. I will note I hit the random contracts for the 2nd version and did my best to change some to shorter deals, because it assigned entry level contracts to everyone in the pros and gave wild numbers, at that. You can edit that further if you need. In 2003 when I was a teenager, I was bored one day, and decided on an idea to play hockey in my backyard driveway alone, setting up two milk baskets and drawing lines in chalk. I enjoyed the concept of the game I'd created so much I came up with an idea of doing a league for it, starting out as 12 teams. This would be the groundwork for what would serve as almost a decade of hard work and dedication to something a lot of people didn't understand or know about. In 2004 I changed the rules around, making it two seasons per year and going with real time dates and times for games, and having 20 teams by this point. Rosters were small at this point, gradually growing bigger with fictional players I came up with or borrowed from games like NHL 2004 or Madden. By 2007 this format would change to the new NRHL, with 36 games instead of 16, one season per year, and other things like that. I'd also put more focus on contracts for all players, trying to track stats by writing out the box score of games, all of this by hand and on my own, even posting it onto a website I designed in addition to doing it on paper to double check my work. The league was flourishing as I manually did all the schedules and standings and trades, etc. But it did finally run into a point where I couldn't find time and it stalled out in early 2012. So after a while, not wanting to give up on the work I'd done, I searched for an alternative option to keep it alive, like a simulation program. After a couple years I found FHM, and my dream was realized at last. Ever since then I've tried making the league from scratch in each game, and only now is it possible I can share this passion project with everyone in a proper way. With all that said, I hope you guys will enjoy the quickstart, it's been fun building it and even more fun to see it come to life. And thanks to anybody in the past who's helped out with making the jerseys used in the league, too.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/cu46ntqecr....quick.7z?dl=0 In case anybody did want to try it before, the original quickstart had bugs that caused it to crash if you played it. Now it's been fixed and updated, so anyone can give it a shot. Feel free to use the assets if you like, some are borrowed from the forum and others I whipped up myself, in terms of uniforms. All logos mostly came from the forum
