When manually transfering players in commissioner mode the assistant doesn't recognize them
If I move a player from another team to my team then my assistant will not place him on any line when I ask him to set lines.
He'd rather play with less than 20 players... Maybe he doesn't like to "steal" other teams players

Just wanted to say I've seen similar things, I've started games with the Caps and forced Kuznetsov to transfer over and then if leaving things to the assistant he always seems to dress him (as the 21st player?!) but never actually puts him in any lineup or plays him.

Look at the player card and make sure he is assigned a "team role" I transfered a player, dressed him and he wasnt put on any of my lines. When I looked at the players card there was nothing assigned in team role, I changed it to normal player reran the assistants help in setting up lines and he appeared.
