All news blanked out

After saving a league and then creating a new file using Save Game As, then closing the program, when I went back in and continued (the new save file) all of the news items were blanked out aside from the date and the message type.

The news items were all listed - they were not deleted - but the titles and all content are gone. They are all just empty shells of news items.

The original save game, when I returned to it, has all the news items still intact. But switching again to the new save, the news items are still blank. Checking individual players, the transactions are still in their history logs. But the news items for them are blank. Same with the team's news, all blank other than date and message type.
