Thanks for your patience, everyone. As you've probably already seen, the beta is now available for download and we're accepting preorders.

Out of curiosity, when will a Mac beta be released?

I deleted the purchase receipt I received expecting to receive it in an email shortly after (similar to when I purchased OOTP 13). I have yet to receive the serial number in the email. I'm wondering if it's due to high volumes, or if that email hasn't been sent out yet.

Let me know if you need any further info in a PM.

Just completed the order and got the Serial Number and Link for the setup... but... when I clicked on the link got the following message: "The website declined to show this webpage"

You can use the link in the OP instead. That's what I did when I encountered the same error after I purchased the game and clicked the link on the purchase receipt.

Sounds good. I may just go ahead and reinstall my Boot Camp partition since it sounds like there's still some time.

PS--I only created the other thread because I didn't want that question to get buried in a broader thread, since several of us are running Macs, and I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in the Mac version.

Hi Sebastian! VERY good news indeed!! I have both Macs and PCs - but am planning to play the sim on the Mac (which is how I play OOTP 13) - so i'm holding off on pre-ordering and downloading a beta version 'til the Mac beta is up and running. Will eagerly await tho!

Hi erikthered - you are indeed correct. Count me in among the Mac users eagerly awaiting the Mac version. Am holding off 'til it comes out.

And am thinking (at least am hopeful anyway!!) that a few weeks delay in getting a beta out for Mac will mean that the Mac beta will actually be a more stable and more polished version that the one released today (or maybe the several released between today and whenever the Mac version comes out!)

In any event, can I still pre-order the windows version, play on bootcamp and when the Mac Beta comes out, use the same license for the OSX version?

Have you copied and pasted the key?

I found that when I did it was leaving a space after the last digit. When you paste it in just press backspace/delete once and then the cursor should then be on the right of the last digit and it will work.

What the poster above wrote: copy & paste the number from the email to wordpad and then copy & paste it again from there to the game and make sure no extra space is copied.

That is the plan! But we cannot promise it because we had no chance to test it yet.
