Bought, can't activate

Hi,

So playing some EHM 2007 earlier, I said "I wonder what's been going on with OOTP's Hockey Sim" that I've sadly neglected to keep up on. Came here, saw pre-order and beta. BAM! Ordered. Downloaded the beta. Went to imput the activation code I received from the store and e-mail, and I constantly get the Activation Error: "The game could not be activated, please try again in a few minutes"

Okay. I've been trying for half an hour now with no luck. Any idea/help? Activation servers down or something?

Any info/help you folks can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

And now that I typed this up, it finally activated. Thanks anyway. Looking forward to testing out this game. I'm a hockey addict, and a sim addict. EHM was my favorite, hoping this one blows it away!

I Havn't been able to activate mine for months, i gave up trying and havn't bother since. I was hoping the beta would fix it but nope that doesn't work.

So how do i get this issue sorted out? I'm not sure who to contact

What exactly is happening when you try to activate? There was a burst of sales on the weekend that left the activation server overloaded a couple of times, which is what the original poster probably experienced, but if it's been going on for months, that's something else entirely.

I am having the same issue... quit the program a few times and it just tells me that it could not be activated... please try again in a few minutes

Time is your best friend here...

A few people have had this problem during the weekend. Most of them jst waited a bit and it was accepted sooner or later.

Grrrr!!! I have no patience! I'll just try my best haha!!

Side note: when you enter your serial code do you have to include the XXXX-XXX-XXXX dashes like that in between or do you just type in as XXXXXXXXXXXX?

Yes I believe so including the FHM2014 at the beginning part. Also be careful with the CAPS and lowercase.

It looks like it tried to activate then it gives me an activation error and tells me to try again later. Trying again gets the same result.

What worked for me is including the "-" from the serial number. I got it on the 2nd try when I used those.

This has been going on for a few months now, i copy and pasted from the email containing the serial number so thanks but i think it's a bit more then just including the -

This is the 2nd computer i installed it on but that shouldn't be an issue as i thought we could install on 2 computers. Would i have to release the key on the old computer before i could use it on this one?
I have no idea if that is even the issue, just thinking out loud here as i havn't really looked into fixing it as it's been in alpha and i just forgot about it.

If it's going on for so long you have a real problem and you should contact Andreas for support.

Email this person with your Order ID and he will help you getting the problems solved.

Thanks, yeah i wasn't to sure who to contact in regards to FHM.
Am so used to Markus and OOTP.

Thanks i'll email him when i get home and have it sorted out.

Try right clicking on the FHM icon and "run as admin" and license.

This has worked for me in the past, not always, but more often than not.
